What to Expect:

Join IBHS for Inside the Burn: The Role of Connective Fuels in Community Fire Spread, an exclusive Members-only live virtual event.

Viewers will get an expert play-by-play of the first-ever wind-driven building-to-building fire spread experiment featuring an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) with connective fuels, like combustible decks, garbage cans, hot tubs and vehicles – items commonly found to be contributing factors to conflagrations.

This live event will provide:

  • A behind-the-scenes tour of the realistic fuel load inside the ADU structure
  • Multi-angle viewing inside and outside the burning structure, plus never-before seen infrared drone imagery
  • Discussion of how tests provide crucial lab data on connective fuels—one of the three pillars of conflagration

Joining host Rachael Gauthier will be IBHS Experts:

  • Dr. Faraz Hedayati, Lead Research Engineer
  • Sarah Dillingham, Senior Meteorologist

*Remember to engage with our experts along the way and provide your questions via the chat window during the webinar and stay for a LIVE Q&A at the end of the broadcast.
