What to Expect:
Join IBHS for this in-person Disaster Dynamics Academy: Damage Amplifiers – Identifying Risk Factors and Solutions.. This event is designed to deepen your understanding of how failures of key structural components exposed to wind, wind-driven rain and hail can increase the likelihood of damage and the cost of claims
During this event, you will:
- Watch a demonstration in IBHS’s new driving-rain lab test to understand water entry through windows, doors and other openings of the building envelope.
- Explore how wind-driven hail as a damage amplifier inflates the cost of claims due to impact severity on roof covers and other building materials.
- Learn about IBHS’s upcoming damage amplifier test series including investigations on attached structures such as carports, porches, patio covers and garage doors.
- Understand how FORTIFIED provides solutions against the impact of damage amplifiers associated with wind, wind-driven rain and hail.
What to Wear:
Casual attire. Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes with no slick soles or heels.
Who Should Attend:
While all Members are welcome, based on the content, we especially encourage Members who operate within property claims, underwriting, adjustment, risk and product management to attend.
