What to Expect:
Commercial PV installations, while a great alternative energy source, do have vulnerabilities to both wind and hail. In past years, IBHS has conducted research on these products to better understand their performance in these relative hazards, but with the increasing installation of solar farms for commercial use – and loss exposures as we’ve seen recently to hail and wind – this is an area we seek to highlight in 2025. This event will focus on presenting some previous work done by IBHS to illustrate the points of failure in these systems to wind and hail, and incorporate new findings valuable for the insurance industry to understand how to better define their risks.
Who Should Attend:
While all Members are welcome, based on the content, we especially encourage Members who operate within property claims, adjustment, loss control, and risk management departments to attend.
