In 2018, IBHS welcomed member-company representatives from all sectors of our membership and a variety of internal company roles to IBHS’s Disaster Dynamics Academy. Due to popular demand, IBHS hosted a new session in March.

This two-day, hands-on educational program focused on wildfire. We explored the dynamics of wildfire behavior and how it exploits various building vulnerabilities, leading to severe property damage.

This unique opportunity examined the intersection of fire science, building science, and insurance operations—and is part of a broader effort to translate our research in ways that provide tangible value for our members.
