Tampa, FL - “Getting Back to Business-A Guide For The Small Business Owner Following Disaster” is now available from the Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS).

The new guide includes summary information about:

· Steps to recovery, including reporting losses, putting safety first, assessing damage, cleaning up, evaluating business interruption and returning to business.

· Questions for the insurer.

· Establishing a disaster preparedness plan.

· Additional resources for disaster preparedness.

IBHS, located in Tampa, FL, is a non-profit insurance industry initiative that usually deals with natural disaster protection, but the organization developed this guide to help small businesses restore economic viability, whatever the cause of disruption.
