Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) President and CEO Harvey Ryland (left) addresses a media briefing at the Hurricane Symposium held February 11-13 in Tampa, Florida. The event addressed the impact of the 2004 hurricanes on the built environment in terms of initial observations, lessons learned and unmet research needs. IBHS helped sponsor the event together with a number of public and private organizations, including the International Code Council (ICC). James Witt, ICC CEO, is at right.
