Tampa, FL – The Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) has redesigned and upgraded its web site for easier access to more information about protection from natural disasters.
The site, www.ibhs.org, developed by St. Petersburg-based DataGlyphics, contains IBHS retrofit guides and manuals to help increase home and business resistance to natural disasters. It also offers several new features, including:
· Property protection tips and information organized under major natural disaster headings, including hurricane, earthquake, hail, flood and freezing weather; · Search functions within the IBHS online library and building code sections; · Natural disaster “News Briefs”, which offers links to relevant content on the site; · A subscriber section, where users can request email updates on specific topics when new material is available.
“Our engineers have developed a broad range of home and business safety materials,” said IBHS president and CEO Harvey Ryland. “These website enhancements make it easier for anyone who wants to increase their natural disaster protection to use these important tools.”
IBHS is a national, non-profit engineering, research, education and communications initiative of the insurance industry. Its mission is to reduce deaths, injuries, property damage, economic losses and human suffering caused by natural disasters.
