BOSTON - Kevin E. Barber has joined the Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) as vice president of communications.
Barber comes to IBHS from CNA Insurance in Chicago where he served as assistant vice president of corporate public relations. He previously served in a number of communication management positions at Kemper Insurance Companies in Long Grove, Illinois.
Over his career, Barber has held volunteer leadership positions with various insurance industry organizations, including the Insurance Committee for Arson Control, the Illinois Insurance Information Service, the Alliance of American Insurers and the Insurers Public Relations Council.
He received a BA in English from North Park University in Chicago and has done graduate work at Northeastern Illinois University and Illinois State University. He is also an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America.
